Part 3
So this summer I attempted a small little garden. It is only about 10 feet square and it contains 2 tomato plants, four squash plants, six green been plants, one pumpkin mound, and a few small row of carrots. Yes, it is now very hard to distinguish between the plants, but the harvest has been pretty good. The carrots didn't do so well, but we have zucchini and tomatoes coming out our ears. It was a lot of fun to watch the plants get bigger and James had a lot of fun helping me plant. The other day he asked me if he could help me plant again in the spring. I dream one day of having a very large garden, but for now my little garden served us well.
Part 4
We have enjoyed hiking all summer and there are so many trails close by that we rarely did any of them more than once. It is really great to live so close to the mountains. We hope to get a few more lovely fall hikes in before the snow flies and then maybe I will take up a little snowshoeing.
Part 5
We have had fun in the sun all summer long and enjoyed countless trips to the park and the zoo. I love summer and it is hard to see it go, but fall is by far my favorite season of the year. Let's hope it lasts a little while!

Wow, now I am REALLY feeling lazy for not planting a garden! 10 sq ft! That's something I should be able to manage :)
I love snowshoeing... Let me know if you even want to go. You could borrow Dan's pair. I am determined to snowshoe to doughnut falls this year. I hear it is amazing in the winter.
I'm so impressed that you planted a garden. I really wish I would have. I had good intentions but, nothing came of it. Kind of a bummer now that Fall is just around the corner. I missed my opportunity.
We're going to prep an area this fall for a garden next year. It must be the time of life I'm in, but I get really excited about canning, gardening, and the like.
