Life goes too fast...

Do you ever find yourself getting hung up on the really not so important things throughout the day? Sometimes those dirty toilets and floors can wait for a little while. I struggle every day to try and enjoy my children and my role as a mother and wife because the time goes by so quickly. Here is a little update of what we have all been up to.

James is so creative and such a good helper. James loves kindergarten and has made so many friends. He is my social butterfly and usually has a play date lined up when I pick him up from school. James is taking piano again and doing really well. He also has gymnastics and LOVES it. He has made some great progress from when he started. James has had some more responsibilities with cleaning around the house and he not only does it (with a little motivation sometimes), but he does a great job. He is becoming a great reader and we just need to work a little on his spelling. He is a great writer though and is always writing stories. James loves being a big brother and can be such a great help with Jonathan.

Rachael has such a wonderful personality and is so full of energy. She can make a room full of people laugh in seconds and everyone adores her spunk. One women at church told me today that she is always ready to jump in to whatever is going on and she is a joy to be around. She is enjoying her gymnastics class and home preschool. One of the things she always says that cracks me up is "Oh yeah, baby!" She usually says this when she does something cool or when she is excited about something. The picture above is Rachael at the beach. She LOVES going to the beach.

Jonathan is already 5 months old now and is a pure joy to have around. He makes the cutest expressions and faces with his tongue out. He is rolling over a little now and pushes himself around in circles on the floor. He gives me gentle reminders each day to enjoy a little more and stress a little less. Having a baby is such a blessing.

Jake is working lots and is such a wonderful help when he gets home. The children adore him. We have been reading a lot of chapter books with James lately and I love hearing Jake's great story telling voices. The children always want dad to read to them. What a wonderful and supportive husband I have. I should really never have anything to complain about. Life is good and I hope we can all try to slow down a bit.
