Here are a few more really cute pictures of the children playing at Discovery Gateway. For Family Home Evening on Monday we actually tried to make a crane with rope down the stairs and pretend we were building a ship because James thought the crane was so cool.

After a week full of really fun activities for the children we decided to get a babysitter--"thanks nana and papa"--and do something fun for ourselves. We went and had a nice quiet dinner together at one of our favorite Thai restaurants and then saw the production of "BIG" at the Hale Theatre. It is so nice to spend time together as a couple and we had a great time. All in all it was a great week and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together as a family!

Stefanie,
that is such a great idea to stick around and do a "staycation" how clever. I'm very impressed. We are starting to see the effects of our spendy vacations with the Gas prices alone. It's really sad to think about it. It looks like you guys had a blast!
I am SO with you on the whole stay-cation thing. After spending hours in the car riding up to the Sawtooth mountains and back last weekend with the kids yelling and being cranky the whole time, Clay and I absolutely realized that it is not worth the trouble to go anywhere more than a couple hours away...if only for our sanity's sake.
Thanks again for Preschool! Peter is so excited to hang with his pal James! You are AWESOME!
You're always so creative in what you try to make for your kids. I'm glad you guys got time to yourself also. You need to let us babysit for you more to do something besides the temple also. It's hard enough for us to plan something WITH babysitting options so I can't imagine trying to without family close.
