So here is a conversation Rachael and I had in the car today.
Rachael: "Mom, don't touch that silver thing (the gear shifter in my car), or I am not going to live with you anymore."
Me: "That would make me sad if you didn't live with me. You are just a little girl and I don't think you could make enough money to live by yourself."
Rachael: "I have the money in my piggy bank and I could by a new house with it."
Me: "Your piggy bank isn't big enough to hold all the money you would need to buy a new house. Why don't you want to live with me?"
Rachael: "You guys are rude!"
Me: "Who is rude?"
Rachael: "You and James." (just a note: James is not even in the car)
Me: "Why are we rude?"
Rachael: "You bother me."
At this point I was laughing to much to keep up the conversation. Hopefully my three year old will still want to live with us tomorrow.

Nice! I get told at least once a day that James doesn't like me and he will not play with me anymore if I don't (fill in the blank). Then later, he'll tell me I'm the best mom in the world. 3 year olds are fickle.
