Fun in the Sun
Well, here is an update on the Jones family. James, Rachael, and I spent most of last week visiting family in Clearfield and Logan. We had a good time and it was so good to see family. Jake even cleaned some of the carpets while we were gone....what a great guy! We went on a hike by the Brighton ski resort on the 4th of July and went to a neighborhood party that evening (great job Jill and Emily...it was super fun!) We came home and did a few fireworks with the people in our circle and Rachael thought they were great! I wish I would have gotten her facial expression on camera. For the next month and a half our ward is undertaking the task of completing 30 quilts for the humanitarian aid and I am helping to get them tied. So, there is currently a quilt set up in our playroom and there will be one there off and on until the middle of August. Life is going along pretty smoothly and we are still trying to decide where to go on vacation this summer...any suggestions? We are kind of thinking we want to try something new. Well, that's it for this update. I will write more soon!

Hi Tuffy,
Well we just got back from Bear Lake, but you've probably already done that with your kids. I think anywhere where the kids can run and make lots of noise is a good place to go. Good to see you and your cute family.
I'd recommend Arches National Park in Moab (or another national park) because it's only about 3 1/2 hours away and our kids always have fun. You can stay in tents or cabins and some places even have bathrooms/showers/pools, etc. depending on how much you want to rough it. But they have a range of different levels of hiking that all ages could do. My in-laws even hiked the Arches trail... We prefer to do it in September/October to not be as hot but it's our yearly tradition to go to a nation park each fall with Christian's parents and his brother's family. It's always been worth it!
