Money

So a little interesting thing happened this week. We were sitting outside of a store while James sat on some displayed patio furniture when I noticed a $20 bill on the ground under his chair. Usually finding money is a good thing, but it is usually the normal pennies, dimes and quarters that we find and just pick them up casually. Well, this seemed like a significant amount of money and Jake and I were a little torn on what to do with it. So, I posted a poll to see what you would do with such a discovery.
Also this week in money. We have started a new positive behavior incentive program for James and it seems to be working pretty well. He earns fake dollars throughout the week for chores and good deeds and then on Fridays we have a little "store" he can spend the money at. It really helps me focus on the good things he does each day. If anyone else has implemented a successful incentive program for their children I would love to hear about it.
I hope you are all getting a chance to get outside and enjoy that lovely smell that comes with fresh rain. Have a great weekend!

That is an interesting dilemma! It is funny how the amount of money changes the situation so much. I am sure it also affects things when the little ones are watching :)
