Everyday Things

Wow! I can't believe how fast a month goes by. With all the hectic things that go on I try to stop and enjoy the everyday things that my kids do. Recently we went grocery shopping together and the Smith's by our house has just put out a bunch of little shopping carts for kids. I knew it was risky, but I let each of my kids have one while we shopped. It went pretty well, until check out time. Rachael had her own list of items she wanted to put in her cart which included: toys, twinkies, lots of cookies, sunflower seeds and Cheetos. Pretty good shopping for a kid!

Today we also enjoyed doing some dishes together. James and Rachael decided they wanted to wash the dishes, so I gave them some instructions and they did a great job. Finally, some help with the dishes! They even kept the water in the sink!

Jake and I also went to Las Vegas this month without the kids and it was a lot of fun. We spent most of our time at a conference for Jake's work, but it was fun to have a little time together alone. Thanks Mel, Scott, and the kids for watching James and Rachael....we owe you one!

James also started tee ball this month and is enjoying it. I have to say that it is a little more enjoyable than soccer...for all of us!

Oh yes, and we can't forget Easter. We had a great time in Logan! This is my favorite Easter morning picture. Rachael gets some pretty great bed head!

It's so fun to catch up on what you're doing. You'll have to start updating everyone more than once a month, though! :) Cute pictures. And I'm really EXCITED for the mini shopping carts. I haven't been grocery shopping for a month because it's always such a traumatic experience so we'll see. Of course I'm sure Braeden's basket will resemble Rachaels and keeping them from crashing into anything/anyone might be a different story. We'll have to catch one of James' games soon so Cameron can see what it's like.

Yay! It's fun to see new posts! When I saw the picture of Rachael pushing her cart I thought - WHOA! That's Stefanie's daughter for sure! But then when I looked at her more I could totally see Jake too. I guess she's a perfect mix of you two.

Love the shopping pics! It is so much fun to let them have their own cart. How cool that Smiths is doing that now. We go to a little market 20 minutes away for Kenna to be able to do that and she just loves it. Your little ones are growing so quickly!
Vegas also looks like it was a great time.

Love,
Heather

Cute pics!

Dan noticed the tiny carts the other day and commented that Fetus (that's what Dan calls our unborn child :S ok, so do I sometimes) will get to push one around soon.

I love that Rachel did her own shopping.

It was so fun to get an update! Your kids are so cute! I love that they are helping witht he dishes. That is one of Jaxson's favorite things to do. I have to remember to stop and let him help while he wants to even though it is so hard and takes so much more effort. I would love to see you guys! Let me know when you are up this way!
