A billion dollars anyone?

So, Jake and I were talking the other evening and our subject of conversation took an interesting turn. I posed the question... If someone offered you a billion dollars (no strings attached) would you accept it? We got talking about how it would change a person and if it would change the way you made purchases and the way you looked at things. After our discussion of cars, houses, traveling, etc., Jake decided that it would corrupt me (haha). I posed the question in the first place because I don't think I would accept it...for that very reason.....unless I had someone to share it with or some good way to get it to people that really needed it.

I am so grateful for what I have and my greatest joys come from my family, not the amount of things we have. I am so grateful for a husband that helps me to more fully understand this and who makes me laugh every day (like this evening- listening to his impression of a drill sergeant while trying to get the children to clean up their toys)...it was totally hilarious! I am also grateful for all of our talks...it's what people do when they don't have a TV. Jake was just looking at some of my friends blogs with me and made the comment, "If we only knew how goofy we would look on our wives blogs we might show more reservation." Sorry Jake, I had to put it on...it goes along perfectly with my post. Love you!

So funny! Tell Jake Christian feels his pain. Everytime I take a picture he suspiciously asks, "You're not going to put that on your blog, are you?"

So if someone offers you a billion dollars and you decide not to accept it, I would be happy to accept and I promise not to be ruined by it!!!

Okay, you're a much better person than I am because, although I have a lot of fun now, I would have a TON O FUN with a billion dollars!!! As for the picture, that's a side of Jake I wish you'd have exposed long ago.

I want to echo Suzanne's comment... :)

I see your point, but I would take it, buy a little shack on an island somewhere (ok, one with a direct flight from slc), start some college fund accounts and then give the rest away... haha.

Actually, I don't think I could stop there. You're totally right!

I'm with Suzanne and Jess...I think I would, as long as no one knew I had it. Then, maybe, I could live the same and not worry about finances, only give a lot more...and maybe next time I could take the kids and we could all go with Clay to Africa.

But, I would have to buy a bigger boat and hire someone to cook for me...but that's definately all...okay, maybe I'd get a bigger house and...oh, crap...stop, stop, stop! So much for being altruistic!)
